An amazing time at Mutitjulu!

Today we had the privilege of running a festival at Mutitjulu in the local primary school. It was an amazing time of fun, laughter, and high-energy games. Some favourites were the slinkies (aka friends from outer space), My big fat Malu, and Limbo. The team did an awesome job and will sleep very well tonight!!

The cooler weather today was welcomed by the team as we went to the Mutitjulu community for some more schools work at the primary school. Also, an air-conditioner was installed in the kitchen, something that Alex will be happy of. Tomorrow we have a festival in the Mutitjulu community, which is very exciting!

First day of schools work…

Today was the first day of schools work, with the team heading off to Mutitjulu for some fun actvities with the very energitic kids. Heather and Lucy also caught up with some good indigenous friends. Meanwhile, back at camp, the kitchen tent was finished which meant we had our first dinner inside it!

Base Camp continues to build

Despite yet another windy day, the team battled the weather to put up the kitchen tent as the Base Camp continues to take shape. A number of other tents and annexes were also put up in the windy conditions. Micah had his first day at school and schools work starts tomorrow.
