Training for Authorised SRE personnel
1. Safe Churches Training, which is undertaken through SCTA providers for which Fusion is a registered provider.
2. ‘GodSpace’- NSW Baptist SRE training videos and booklets
3. Local SRE training opportunities provided by ICCOREIS – NSW
4. In-service training incl. Fusion’s training, particularly for Youth Work and SRE Eg ‘Walking on Water’ – Teaching SRE in High Schools
Ongoing Training opportunities:
– ICCOREIS network/website, Safe Churches network/websites and Fusion Events Calendar or Training.
– Authorised SRE personnel
– They are to meet the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children ) Act 2012. All SRE personnel are to have a WWCC in NSW and also a federal police check.
– Must complete – ‘GodSpace’ units on SRE delivery. (Source: NSW Baptist Church)
– Must complete Safe Churches Training or similar with Fusion or another registered provider.
– Utilise other in-service training opportunities provided by ICCORIES or Fusion.
